The FMGE was a wall I kept hitting. NExT, they say, is a fairer path, but I still see the same worry in young doctors' eyes. My life taught me that exams are not about knowledge alone, but also about luck and sitting in that hall again and again. I passed only on my fourth try, beta, my hands shaking as I filled the final bubble. Sometimes the system changes, but the struggle of a foreign graduate stays.
