The Indus is fed by the snows of Kullu and Lahaul, the Ganga by glacial melt from Gangotri, and the Brahmaputra by the great Yarlung Tsangpo from Tibet. My reality, however, is watching their feeder streams dwindle season after season at our project sites. We design for the maps, but we operate by the mercy of the clouds now—eigi calculations feel less like engineering and more like hope every year.
