The Korean experience warns against finding tiny cancers that may never harm you, but I cannot agree with calling it all "overdiagnosis." My 5mm nodule was a shock, yes, but seeing its genetic report changed everything. It showed a mutation that made my doctors, and me, choose active surveillance instead of rushing to surgery. So sometimes, beta, the diagnosis itself, even of a microcarcinoma, gives you the knowledge to *avoid* unnecessary treatment.
