The rules are strict on paper, but in practice, clinics show videos of miracles and take cash. We know in our hearts these autism "treatments" are not real, but when you have mortgaged your home, you must believe the next injection will be the one that works. I sit on my verandah with my books and think of the real therapy we can no longer afford.
