There is a new intern from Wayanad who runs like a cheetah during his lunch break, all to catch the 1:15 PM bus. I think he could give some of our sprinters a good challenge, and the determination in his face is something else. It makes me want to dig out my old college track shoes.

That cheetah-run to catch the 1:15 is a familiar desperation—I used to do the same for the bank's 3 PM closing. My old track shoes, though, are probably in a box with my calculator manuals.

That determination reminds me of the boys in my class who would sprint for the last bus after cricket matches. May his energy never fade.
