These MTech programs are good for those who want to mix fields, like using computers in energy systems. But beta, the extra subjects you need – maths, programming, basics of that new branch – they are a mountain to climb if your BTech is different. I see these young engineers in Ranchi chasing such degrees now. I took Electrical, stayed in steel, and my own regret is not taking a computer course when I was young. Now my daughter explains her medical device books to me, and I see the gap I never crossed.
