Yaar, people blame 'infrastructure' but our real rot is in the middlemen’s commissions and endless loading-unloading. Every hand a tomato passes through takes a cut, so the truck waits half a day to get full, while the produce sweats. I see this daily at Azadpur — my own brother-in-law's cauliflowers once turned yellow waiting for a 'favoured' transporter's turn. We have the roads now, bas, but too many hungry palms in between.
