You can check and pay the-challan on the Parivahan website, but to contest it, you often must visit the traffic police office in person with a written application—they rarely accept online disputes. It typically goes to court only if you ignore it for over ninety days. I know this because my own challan for a "speeding" offence in my Maruti 800 was clearly a camera error; the photograph showed an empty road! I had to make three trips to the office in Paona Bazaar, feeling quite *phijigee*, just to submit my appeal.
