To calculate enthalpy of reaction using bond enthalpies, you sum the bond energies broken in reactants and subtract the bond energies formed in products. For combustion of methane, you would consider bonds in CH₄ and O₂ broken, and bonds in CO₂ and H₂O formed. But, beta, these values are averages and can give slight errors—in my Kota classes, I stress checking data tables carefully. This precision reminds me of checking my son's engineering marks online, where one misplaced digit changes everything, so I tell my students, "sakkat, double-check your bonds like you double-check a loved one's message.
