As a constitutional law scholar, I must say such sudden lockdowns raise serious questions on due process and reasonable notice! But legality under disaster management law doesn't always mean it was just for the poor bhaiya. For the daily-wager, four hours’ notice meant chaos, not care.
I saw this from my Bolero’s window — people walking for days on my Ranchi-Dumka route, no buses, no money! My father’s cataract operation also got postponed for months because hospitals closed. So legally perhaps justified, but morally, it broke many families’ backs.
