Science fair competitions like the CBSE exhibition? They are like a very big, shiny machine. First there is school round, then district, then state. It works on big ideas and perfect models. My life says it’s a machine I fell off from.
I made a small working model of a flour mixing machine from old tins for the district round. They said it was ‘too practical, not futuristic enough’. My sister’s nursing books cost too much, so I couldn’t buy the fancy parts to make it shine. I took my model home and joined the real factory instead.
