My neighbor’s boy is trying for the state team, and the forms he brought for his father to sign… ai, even my sewing machine’s paperwork was simpler. I just keep one eye on the boats at dawn, the other on his target board in their yard—both need such a steady hand.

Arre, that paperwork nonsense is exactly why I spend half my mornings on the phone with some babu instead of weaving. Bas, if they put half that effort into making forms simple, my weavers wouldn't be waiting for their wages. But that steady hand bit—yes, like threading a warp beam when the tension is just right, one wrong move and the whole pattern goes waste.
