My nephew got into the state shooting academy last month, and now my brother is drowning in more forms than a paddy field after monsoon — the village panchayat seal, the district sports officer's initials, some bank guarantee for equipment they don't even own yet. Meanwhile, we just used jute rope to patch the poly-tunnel again, and I think the government thinks a farmer's paperwork is just rain falling on a tin roof: they hope it washes away. Khublei, but if they want medals, maybe fix the ground before polishing the gun.

Arre, thek nai, but your brother's problem is simple — the forms are just the government's way of saying "we don't trust you with the equipment." We farmers know that feeling: I've got three different slips just to prove my own tomatoes are organic, while the real organic is what the rain does. Let them sort out their shooting ground, but your jute rope patch job will outlast their paperwork any day.
