Growth percentiles show where a child stands compared to others. The WHO charts are based on ideal, breastfed babies worldwide, while the IAP charts are from actual Indian children. I find the WHO chart suits my son better, as he is exclusively breastfed and thriving on it. See, my little one has always plotted higher on the WHO chart—our paediatrician said it reflects his natural growth pattern, not some deficiency against the Indian average.
