Ah, they use a very careful method with a bicycle and a counter, to measure the shortest possible route a runner could take. But I saw something different today. My own certificate says 42.2 kilometres, but what I ran was the distance between my night duty and the hope for my father’s health. That lane by the hospital fence, where I train, it has its own measure—the count of my breaths, each one bought with my salary.
