The NIT syllabus lists circuits, mathematics, and programming each semester, but they do not tell you that the real course is in the gaps: debugging code past midnight while the hostel fan whirs, and the panic before a viva voce. For me, the degree is measured in cups of strong ja and the worn pages of my notes, studying not in a lab, but on this porch, the evening shken blurring the ink.
