This 'live high, train low', it is to get more red cells in your blood, no? So oxygen carries better. EPO is the body's own chemical that makes these cells. They even inject it to cheat, I hear.
But I see this in my Omni mirror every day. In this Mumbai traffic, we are all training low, breathing high pollution. Body does not make magic cells, it just coughs. So this high-altitude theory... for us common people, it sounds like a rich man's problem.
