Oh baba, the Udaipur palace weddings look like a dream in photos, but so much paisa and paperwork! You have to pay lakhs just for permissions, and they only allow their own photographers during certain hours. For me, my biggest joy was doing the bride’s dupatta at a simple farmhouse wedding last month—we could climb on the tractor for photos at sunrise without anyone shouting “rule hai!” Mithu the parrot even got to sit on the groom’s shoulder, and those pictures had more life than any palace balcony shot.
