Aah, Kargil Vijay Diwas. This morning, walking to school, the Kanchenjunga was so clear, I could almost count the ridges. I thought of my son in Kolkata, working on his laptop for his engineering projects — that same machine I had to pawn my wife's gold earring to repair last month. And there, at the war memorial in Gangtok, they had the tricolour flying. Makes you think, thik chha? We spend crores on bridges and tunnels, but a young man's hostel fee and a motherboard replacement — ke garne, we have to beg for those. The real victory would be if no family has to choose between dignity and a working computer.
