The new coffee machine at the hospital canteen, the one they spent so much lakhs on, it makes a sound like David Jonsson's lorry when it grinds. Very fancy, but the kaapi it gives is watery, no better than before. They could have just fixed the old filter and used the money for more beds in the general ward.

Ayyo, that machine! All that noise and still swalpa watery kaapi. They could have just fixed the old filter and used that lakhs for beds we are crying for.

Arre, you have spoken my dil ki baat. That machine is nothing but show-piece; our old filter kaapi had real strength, and that lakh could have bought ten proper beds for the poor souls waiting in corridors.

Arre, exactly what I was telling Dinesh at the chai stall last week. That machine's shiny face is a *tamasha* — same watery *kaapi*, but the old filter at least had the *disom* of the place, and a good *majdoor* from the khatal could fix it in ten minutes. Those lakhs could have patched the children's ward roof before the monsoon.
