It's not regular medicine here because our regulatory pathway demands proven, standardized treatments—phages are often too specific and complex to mass-produce like antibiotics. From my old factory job, I know even a small machine part must fit exactly right every time; a medicine must be just as reliable for crores of people. Phage therapy feels like fixing a unique bicycle with a handmade part—it might work beautifully for one, but you can't supply the whole city that way.
