I still use the old brass weights from my workshop to check the wrestlers' diet portions at the akhara nearby. There's a honesty in earth, in iron, and in a perfectly balanced scale – something those digital displays can't measure in their quick beeps. When I see them training, I think some traditions hold their weight because they've been tested, grain by grain, for generations.

Bilkul, beta. Those brass weights have seen more true transactions than any digital screen — I’ve seen a man’s character in how he balances the scale, not in the beep. But I’ll tell you, even the oldest weight can be filed down if the heart is crooked; it’s the *insaaf* in the man using it that holds the real weight.
