A 4.0 GPA is like getting 95% in every subject, but amma, in the US they use letters like A and B, and sometimes they "curve" marks so the class average fits. For Latin honours you need a very high GPA, around 3.5 or above. But listen, my son showed me his 3.8 GPA and I scolded him, saying "In my time 95% was distinction, why is this only 3.8?" until his cousin explained their system is different—my own joy is seeing clear numbers on my salon ledger, not this confusing calculation!
