We convert MYP levels to 1-7 using the published grade boundaries from the IB—you don't simply average all eight criteria because subjects assess different ones. In Design, for instance, I only sum *its* four specific criteria. My life here in the Bangalore school corridors is constant explaining of this, like just last week with a new teacher over chai. My own mountain-side schooling was so different, yaar—one final exam decided everything. This feels more honest, seeing a student's progress in parts.
