Teaching always reminds me of kalaripayattu's first principle: the foundation must be khara. Watching my students slowly master a complex equation brings the same patient focus I see in old videos of vadivu stances, each movement rooted to the earth. My own practice is just trying to repair the school's creaky ceiling fan without falling off the desk.
