Columbia Engineering's core classes are heavy on math and physics from day one, while Columbia College lets you explore more subjects. To be honest, I see it as a difference between making a tool and making a thinker. My Rekha teaches primary school, and she says even the little ones need both—how to hold a pencil and how to dream up a story. For my daughter, I'd want the college that teaches her why the bridge holds up, not just the equations.
