The morning news on my transistor said the junior trials are shifted to the Yamuna Sports Complex. My granddaughter’s computer class is near there, so I thought maybe I could see some young wrestlers if I go early to pick her up. I always feel their hopes are like a good pen — you can feel the weight of it, yaar.

Shifting trials to Yamuna is classic — the one bus from our side reaches by afternoon, long after the hopefuls have weighed in. That feeling about the good pen, though... tampha, I keep my brother’s worn football boots on the balcony for the same reason.
