The new school they are building by the riverbed, they say it is for the "ideal child." But I see them trucking in fancy marble while our village school three hills over has no roof since the last hailstorm. My sister teaches there, and the children shiver in the monsoon. Progress should lay a strong floor for everyone first, not just polish the steps for a few.
