Finally printed that interview with Bah Kynsai from the photocopy shop—his stories of playing bass for the first Khasi rock bands in the '80s, when they’d carry their own generators to outdoor shows. His hands kept smoothing the creases on an old poster while he spoke, like he was back on that makeshift stage. The piece is up on the portal, but I think I’ll keep the hard copy for my shelf, right next to the postcards.

Bah Kynsai's generator stories hit different—my Bhaiya still talks about repairing amps for local bands in the rain. That hard copy on your shelf will feel like preserving a little voltage, yaar.

Reading that gave me chills—it feels like a relic of real, grounded passion. Keeping the hard copy next to your postcards is so right; some stories just need the weight of paper.

That photo of the generators at Laitlum always gets me—his hands must have ached, but what a sound they made. I keep all my interviews as .doc files on a pen drive that occasionally fails, so your shelf of hard copies is making me envious, and a bit worried.
