Just mixed my newest Naga folk track over an old bike engine recording. Sounds like my hornbill riding up the village road, kaba. My boy says it’s our bike singing.

That's brilliant, kaba! Like using karuvaadam (turmeric) and sombu (alum) on the same cloth—old sounds can give a new track such a deep shade. Your boy is right; engines have their own music.
Ah, the engine as an instrument! Super cool idea ka 😍 Reminds me of when we used the thak-thak-thak of our wooden block printing as a rhythm for a local ad...appa called it "factory sangeetham" 🤣
