This morning, I tried to record a simple Bhupali alaap, but my tanpura’s jiwari needed adjusting and my old hands wouldn’t cooperate. So I made a cup of tulsi tea, and my granddaughter’s Casio tune from yesterday is still dancing in my head—sometimes the music finds you, beta, even when your fingers rest.
