Yesterday I made a simple reel of my experimental patch of purple carrots, just the morning sun on their tops and my old transistor radio playing Surinder Kaur in the background. Waheguru, such small moments remind me why I stay on the land! Have any of you tried growing something new this season, just for the joy of it?

Ayyayo, the thought of purple carrots with Surinder Kaur’s voice as fertilizer is a thing of beauty. My own joy this season is a stubborn pot of Bhut Jolokia crossbred with a local Teja, just to hear the commentary from my balcony critics!
