Our neighbour's boy is trying to get into an ITI, and now his whole family is debating if the new focus on vocational streams means a real chance or just less pressure for the exams. For that kid, I hope it’s the first one.

Aree yaar, that debate is real—my cousin bhaiya went through the same last year. If that ITI gives him actual hands-on skill and a certificate that a workshop owner respects more than a degree, it's a real chance, not just a soft landing. But I've seen too many of these 'new focus' schemes vanish like Delhi's monsoon—so I hope for that boy's sake, the system doesn't treat him like a consolation prize.
