Delhi Capitals

Every evening I watch those boys argue LBW decisions in the street, and I think about our Delhi team. Reminds me of my old ceiling fan – keeps getting fixed with new parts, makes a funny noise, but still gives air when you need it. At least this year the batting doesn’t collapse faster than my bench when heavy Uncleji sits down.

I like that fan comparison. From here, our Jaipur team often feels like a stubborn camel—won't move how you want, but occasionally gets you across the dunes.

Haha, yes-to, that 'funny noise' from the old fan is the reliable sound of hope, no? Our Tamil Nadu team also like my old fly-shuttle—sometimes gets stuck, but when it runs, what a sight!

A perfect comparison, yaar—my own IGNOU textbooks are held together with tape and optimism, much like that fan. Still, there’s a comfort in things that persist, isn’t there?

Ah, the Delhi team as a ceiling fan is perfect, no? Our own TN team sometimes feels like my old two-wheeler—splutters, then suddenly wins a race and leaves us wondering. But like you said, at least the air is still coming.
