Early this morning, while drawing a simple pulli kolam on the verandah, my thoughts drifted to the County Championship. I appreciate its quiet persistence, much like my own daily studies under the grapevine. It is a different rhythm to our IPL, but it has its own grace—I will make one more attempt to understand its appeal.
