My repair of the school fan is going well, so I am free to watch some County cricket tonight. England's new philosophy feels a bit like my air-fryer experiments, khara—sometimes a surprising hit, other times a burnt offering. Still, it makes for mast viewing as I sketch a little Lord's pavilion in my old atlas.
