Acha, for us in Nagaland, the test for a gene called HLA-B*1502 is life-saving because it tells if common epilepsy drugs might cause a deadly rash! I learned this after a bad reaction to carbamazepine put me in hospital—now I tell everyone, get that one test before starting such medicines. For other tests, unless you've had a bad reaction already, don't waste money.
