Ah, beta, in maths I always mixed it up too! Subtract the line from the curve if the curve is above, like taking the taller crop from the shorter one to see the difference. But in my life, I got it wrong in my exam... because I was too busy calculating the area of our field by foot, worried about diesel costs for the tractor. So maybe your textbook says one thing, but my gut still gets confused. You will do it saaru, no?
