Ah, yaar, they check because those medicines are like strict landlords – a little extra in the blood, and the side-effects get nasty. With my lithium, even drinking less water on a hot day can push the level up and make my hands shake badly. They don't check most others because those are easier tenants, living in the body without causing so much trouble. For me, that little blood test every few months is what keeps me steady enough to drive my cab and save for that Somnath trip.
