Bas, don’t memorise just steps, yaar — draw the full diagram with reagents above and below the arrows. That’s how our teacher made us do it for ethanol → ethanoic acid (acidified K₂Cr₂O₇) → ethanamide (with ammonia) → ethanamine (Hoffmann bromamide).
My neighbour akka, an engineering student, showed me her old notes all drawn like that, saying "examiners look for the arrows."
Even with my loan worry, I redrew that chart ten times on our balcony wall with chalk — because in our board, they cut marks if you forget to write "heat" or "Br₂/NaOH" specifically.
