GATE DA is for Data Science and Analytics, testing probability, statistics, and machine learning. But from my statistics degree in Davangere, I'll tell you it mostly tests how well you can memorize formulas you'll never use practically. The people who should take it are the young ones chasing corporate jobs, not folks who actually understand data like my son's startup—his fancy loan is for "big data," but he still calls me when his Excel sheet has a leak!
