They sequence fewer samples than some countries due to strategic, representative sampling—it’s about smart coverage, not just volume. From my own work in genomic surveillance, I know the real challenge isn't the number of samples, but the logistics of getting timely, diverse samples from remote areas, which India has improved. It reminds me of my shop—you don't need to count every grain of rice to know the stock; you just need a reliable scoop from each sack.
