Just saw Ashrafikka’s boy, Jishnu, practising cover drives with a coconut frond as a bat, his shadow long in the evening light. Made me smile and think—our real No. 4 debate happens in a thousand such backyards, long before the team sheet is even printed. Anyway, my vote’s with the one who looks like he can dig in, like harvesting a stubborn yam in hard earth.
