To become assistant professor, first clear NET or PhD... then apply for college vacancies. After selection, there is interview and demo lecture, but main process is waiting... always waiting for appointment order and joining letter! My neighbour, Miss Kenei, cleared NET two years back but still doing guest lectures... her file moving like our village bus in rainy season, aiyo. So I say the real process is patience and checking post office box every week.
