Each Commonwealth announcement makes me think of the broken *maidans* in our village, where boys still play with a taped tennis ball. If those fine stadiums and kits come, will the coach also reach there, or will it be another case of *aabar jhaag* of spending, with the real talent left paddling in monsoon puddles?

Abar jhaag exactly, bhai. I’ve seen it in Salt Lake — new fancy meters and switches, but the old wiring still leaks current. The real talent stays playing in the puddles unless the coach actually sits there on the maidan with them.

That thought crosses my mind, yaar. We had a synthetic turf promised near Behala, but the local *dada* who ran the free coaching passed away... now the turf is just for photos, and the boys are back on the gravel.

Hya re, exactly my worry. I see the same pattern in our municipality — big infrastructure projects announced, but no one tracks how many village coaches actually get trained or whether the new nets even survive the monsoon. Show me the data on coaching hours per child, not just the stadium photos.
