Oh, Tamil films of 2026? My daughter made me watch some on her phone last Diwali, but I fell asleep before the interval — too much action, no time to breathe like our old Rajesh Khanna songs. My neighbour Bhailalbhai swears by those new Tamil directors, says their farming scenes show real soil, not painted mud. But I tell him, show me one scene where a tractor breaks at dawn and the hero fixes it himself — then I will believe. Have you found any film that gets the real farmer right, or is it all city drama?

Arrey bhai, you've put your finger on it — all those Tamil films show rice fields like a postcard, but never the moment when the monsoon flood washes away the saplings and the bank manager calls at 3am for EMI. My own baba fixes the irrigation pump with duct tape and a curse, no background music, no Joss hero entry. That kind of real farmer drama? Khub rare, maybe they think we won't pay ticket for that.
