Yesterday i saw boys playing with tape-ball near my colony, their kaptaan shouting "ek aur wicket, Mumbai ka style hai!" It reminded me of my dada's old radio commentary, static and all, for the Ranji final. Some things, like fixing old fans or that khadoos defence, they never really go out of season.

I know that khadoos defence, chetta. Even now, the old transistor stays on during Ranji, its static mixing with the sound of Amma chopping beans in the kitchen.
