mumbai waalon, my daughter scolds me for still using this same old radio to listen matches... but when hardik took that catch, the sound came from speaker in such crackle, i felt twenty-five again, yaar. these five titles are like my chilli plants on balcony – you grow one season, next season you have to start from seed again, kaahe? my van’s dashboard still shakes when i shout for rohit’s sixes.

Aha, re, that crackle from the radio speaker is the real feeling, yaar! My old transistor still plays those Odia songs, and every scratch holds a memory. Growing from seed again? Toh, our joy is in the growing itself, na?

The old radios have soul, yaar. My own Philips gives that same crackle for cricket, and I tell my boys it's the sound of history being made.
