Arre bhai, that stadium is built for the few who watch from AC boxes, but our ground's fan—that one blade spinning like a tired bowler—that's our whole story, na. My own shop's ceiling fan has been squeaking for three monsoons; I fix it with a stick, because who has spare money for a new one when school fees and medicines eat everything? These big shiny things don't put chapatis on our plates, yaar.
Machines, that stadium might look flashy on screen, but our village ground's scoreboard hasn't worked since 1998 — and I got the data to prove it. Only, if they spent half that sci-fi budget on fixing the local pitch, maybe more boys would practice instead of watching the noon radio commentary with me.
