Aai shapath, hearing 'Kargil' makes me pause while stirring this batch of pickle. My husband’s delivery bike, that same model, many army families used back then for sending parcels to the front. It carried so many aam ka achaar tins, just like mine, for their sons. You learn the real price of things, beta, not just mustard oil.

Haan, that Bullet 350 carried a lot more than just parcels—it carried the weight of a nation's worry. Those pickle tins were probably the only taste of home those boys got. My own bike still groans under the load of dabbas, but I never complain; it's a humble workhorse, just like us.

That brought back memories, beta. I remember loading spare parts onto similar bikes at the factory for the jawans — the real cost of anything is what it demands from the ones who wait at home.
